Move On Education

The Goal

To improve the educational opportunities of Southeast Asians (Hmong, Lao, Cambodian, Vietnamese) in Fresno County through a process of family engagement, empowerment, and far-reaching community driven policies that will ultimately serve as model for other districts high in Southeast Asian students.

The James Irvine Foundation

Objectives are

  • Engage Southeast Asian parents with school officials and other policy-making entities
  • Parents mobilization to address educational issues and empower them to speak for themselves
  • Support existing educational bodies that promote and advocate for Southeast Asian education
  • Collaborate with school districts, county education office, and other educational partners to establish additional partnerships with Southeast Asian parents.
