FCNA/City of Fresno ESL

This program is funded by the City of Fresno to work with newly arriving Hmong refugees. The program will target those refugees who have some basic English education and knowledge, and are at a higher level than those students at the basic ESL level, but does not feel that they are ready for mainstream ESL programs. This program will work to assist the students to quickly move from this program to mainstream ESL.

In addition to this ESL program, the project relies that transportation and child care are other barriers that the newly arriving refugees will encounter. Because of this, this project will work with participants in terms of transportation and providing quality child care.
