Program Description:
The California Endowment and the Rockefeller Foundation
funds the Fresno Works for Better Health (FWBH) project.
FCNA will focus its attention on the Southeast Asian (SEA)
community in the
v Attacks the social determinants of ill health (e.g. poverty, inequities, and neighborhood conditions) of the SEA community at their source.
v Advocates on behalf of the SEA community on matter relating to bridging the gap between employers and potential SEA employees, employers to hire SEA, train them and provide health benefits.
v Gather information on reducing societal and institutional barriers that prevent the SEA access to health care and economic opportunities.
v With the assistance of the collaborative partners and the consulting firms, develop strategic solutions on reducing societal and institutional barriers that prevents community access to health care and economic opportunities.
